The International Cultural evening

Description:

The international evening is a four hour event that provides a platform for young people to gain cultural education, build connections, share and showcase their talents in a relaxed, entertaining and youthful atmosphere.
Features of the event:

1. Liberia on stage: A one hour presentation of Liberia that showcase our country's rich dance forms, musical traditions and poetry.

2. The Liberian buffet: a collection of delicious traditional Liberian delicacies served in the traditional Liberian hospitality.

3. The Share hour: a time for participants to share something, interesting, educative or fun from their country or region of origin.

4. The trivia hour: what do you know about the host? International delegates will be divided in teams to compete with each other for the title of: "we know Liberia". This session will run for thirty minutes. The next session will be the "what do you Liberians know about the world". All local delegates will be divided in to teams to compete for the most marks. The questions will be set and asked by the international guests.

5. Our city at night: an optional night life experience in two of Monrovia's liveliest spots.

Note: There shall be a live musical performance interlude after each segment of the evening.

Prizes:
Participants who distinguish themselves during the Share and Trivia Hours will be awarded with small prizes including CDs of popular Liberian musicians and traditional artifacts.

Questions:
All questions to be asked during the "what do you know about your host" part of the trivia session will be prepared and delivered by the Local delegates, whiles the international delegates will prepare and deliver, the questions for the "what do Liberians know about the world?" the session.
